Range of application and certifications 

The product fulfils the requirements of EU directives and bears the CE mark. 

 

Standards and test values that the product must meet and fulfil can be found in the sec-
tion "Technical data". The EU directives relevant to the product can be found in the decla-
ration of conformity. 

Certain configurations of the product have a certification from Underwriters Laboratories 
Inc. (UL) for the USA and Canada. These configurations bear the following mark: 

 

UL Listing Mark for Canada and the United States 

 

Requirement for use conforming to UL508 and IEC 61131 

The modules are defined as "open type equipment" (to UL 508 or IEC 61131) and must 
therefore be installed in a control cabinet.  

The operating temperature inside the control cabinet must not exceed the permissible 
ambient temperature for the modules. 

All modules with front power supply must be protected using a fuse in series. This fuse 
must not exceed 10 A under any circumstances.

There is no risk of fire or electrical shock for the following interfaces because they are 
limited-voltage/limited-current circuits according to UL 508: USB (Universal Serial 
Bus), RS 485/RS 422, RS 232, Ethernet, current loop.

A 10 amp external line fuse must be provided in the final application.
