Wiring information for analogue cables 

 

Use only screened cables with twisted cable pairs. 

 

Connect the screening at both ends with low impedance to earth potential and ensure 
potential equalisation. 
On the sensor side: connect the screen to an earthed machine part. 
On the controller side: connect the screen to the screen bus. 

 

To ensure electromagnetic compatibility: 
Make sure the screen makes the correct contact at both ends. To this end, connect the 
screen contacted extensively all around, for example via a clamp. 
Do not lay the analogue cables parallel to cables with strong interference (e.g. cables 
from converters to motors).
