Installing peripheral modules
The central module always occupies the furthest left position within the controller CECX-K-
D1. Peripheral modules are installed to the right of this and connected with one another via
the bus plug. The entire structure can then be snapped onto a H-rail (TS 35x7.5) (see Sec-
tion 2.4).
You install peripheral modules as follows:
1.
Switch off the operating and load voltage supplies.
2.
Remove the right side cover of the bus plug on the device (see diagram).
Caution
Inappropriate handling can bend pins on the bus plug.
Proceed with caution when installing peripheral modules.
3.
Carefully push on peripheral modules until the upper and lower mechanical latches en-
gage.
4.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to install further peripheral modules.
5.
To protect against dirt and damage by electrostatic discharge, place both side covers
(for bus plugs and address switches) on the last module in a row.
