Connections can be made in one of two ways:

•

By looping the RIO cable from terminal to
terminal. Both plugs are required here.

•

By connecting the RIO cable with a T-adapter.
Only one plug is required here.

CAUTION
Branches (e. g. T-adapter) can cause signal
reflections if high baud rates are used. This
leads to transmission errors and to brief failure
of the valves.

Recommendation

–

Do not exceed the maximum permitted
distance of 15 cm between the T-adapter
and the plug. In this way signal reflections
can be avoided.

–

Use the Festo T-adapter FB-TA for this
purpose.
