SAFETY SHEETS
New needs have arisen in the last few years making the use of refrigerants
subject to assessment, also according to their ecological characteristics.
Problems related to environmental protection have led to the introduction
of parameters, which must be respected and taken into consideration, for
example, ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) or GWP (Global Warming
Potential).
The choice of the most suitable type of refrigerant is made during the design phase and doesn’t concern this manual. In this
document, we must
deal with the safety aspects resulting from the use, storage and handling of the refrigerant gases used.
Each refrigerant has specific properties and precise safety norms, gathered from years of research and checks carried out by specialised bodies.
All of this has led to the creation of special
“S
afety Sheets
”
specifying all of the criteria needed to manage these fluids correctly, reducing operator
risks to a minimum.
The following pages include the R410A refrigerant sheet, which must always be kept at hand and consulted before working on the devices. The
type of refrigerant used is stated on the Identification Plate of each piece of equipment.
The compressor lubricating oil sheet is also included.
