START-UP AND PRELIMINARY CHECKS
After carefully carrying out all of the procedures described so far, it is possible to proceed with the initial start-up of the unit.
INITIAL START-UP OPERATIONS MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
In the event of failure to comply with this paragraph, the equipment guarantee will be invalidated and the Manufacturing Company may not
be held liable for damage.
The following operations will be carried out during start-up:
•
Inspection and calibration of water flows
•
Inspection of working pressures
•
Programming of operating set-points
•
Inspection of electrical consumption
These inspections, checks and calibrations are carried out not only during the initial start-up phase of the machine, but also:
•
after intervention as a result of a fault
•
after replacing a component
•
during routine and supplementary maintenance
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility for damage caused, directly or indirectly, to people or property as a result of failure to comply with
these instructions. The Person in charge of Safety is responsible for ensuring that this information is acknowledged and interpreted correctly by
the operators involved.
The correct procedure to follow for the initial start-up is as follows:
-
Check that all of the requirements listed in the previous paragraph have been fulfilled (correct
installation, pumps working, correct filling hydraulic circuit, etc.)
-
Check that all of the compressor and fan fuse boxes, inside the electrical panel on the machine,
are closed (or the auxiliary start-up switches, optional accessory, are in the
“ON” o
r
“I”
position)
-
Rotate the master switch with the door lock from the
“OFF”
position to the
“ON”
position, as shown in
the two pictures at the side.
-
The pump (if included) will start. Remember that for versions without an integrated pump, the System
Manager is responsible for ensuring that the pump is assembled correctly and that the liquid flows in
the right direction of rotation.

START-UP OF THE UNIT, ALSO PARTIAL OR ONLY OF A FEW COMPONENTS MUST STRICTLY BE CARRIED OUT WITH THE PANELS
CLOSED, THE DOOR OF THE ELECTRICAL PANEL CLOSED AND THE MASTER SWTICH WITH THE DOOR LOCK IN THE
“ON”

Cooling check
. The chiller normally works with a difference of about 5°C between the evaporator water inlet and the evaporator water outlet
(with the by-pass valve closed and all of the compressors in operation). Check there are no alarm signals.
