POSITIONING AND CLEAR SPACE
All of the phases of positioning and installation must constitute an integral part of the general plan. Before starting these phases, in addition to
defining the technical requirements, the person in charge of carrying
out these operations must, if necessary, implement a “safety plan” to
protect the safety of the people directly involved and strictly apply the safety standards, with particular reference to the laws regarding
temporary worksites.
POSITIONING AREA AND INSTALLATION
The perimeter positioning area must be planned according to the model, the number of units and the characteristics of the installation site. If in
doubt, contact the Manufacturer’s Technical Office. The
basic installation area requirements are as follows:
•
the area must be perfectly flat and guarantee stability over time
•
if the machine is installed on the building floor, check that the structural capacity is adequate
•
the positioning of the equipment must guarantee operation without disturbing the public peace
•
the unit must be easily accessible for everyone working with it
•
all maintenance/replacements must be able to be carried out without risks and in keeping with regulations
•
the volumetric spaces must be suitable for allowing the correct flow of air to the equipment
•
if the transit of persons is foreseen in the area, it is necessary to mark off the area of access to the machine with an enclosure
Refer to the further requirements in the following paragraphs.
POSITIONING
Before proceeding with the final positioning of the unit, check that the installation area corresponds to all of the requirements set out in the
previous paragraph. I
f not, contact the Manufacturer’s Technical Office.
The units can be supplied with anti-vibrating mounts (available accessory that can be selected in the order phase). If the machine is fitted with
anti-vibrating mounts, it will be necessary to mount this accessory before placing it on the ground, as stated in the previous paragraph (2.5),
following the instruction sheet enclosed with the mounts. If the anti-vibrating mounts are purchased directly from the installer and not supplied
by the Manufacturer, it will be necessary to check the distribution of the weights of the equipment carefully and choose the parts appropriately.
An incorrect choice could seriously damage the machine, give rise to malfunctioning or make the machine unfit for use and significantly increase
safety risks for the operating staff, for whom the Manufacturer may not be held responsible.
The use of anti-vibrating mounts is strongly recommended.
After positioning the unit, it will be necessary to make a thorough check of the levelling: the machine must only operate flat. To perform this
operation, position the levels on all four sides of the equipment and work on the screws to adjust the previously assembled anti-vibrating mounts
(the base must be perfectly level for installations without mounts). The maximum inclination allowed, over which the correct working of the unit
is not guaranteed, is 0.5% in relation to the flat surface.
