SFP Modules
1.9.1
Introduction
The SFP modules to be used together with the AM-2xSTM1/4-
16xE-SFP module and TM-1xGEL1-1xMAP-SFP module are
available from Ericsson AXXESSIT.
N O T E !
You may encounter problems when trying to unplug S-1e
SFPs from an AXX 9100 CONNECT produced earlier than
April 2006.
The front panel SFP cage cut outs were too tight to allow
smooth operation of the S-1e SFP release button. At the
moment, two S-1e suppliers are qualified to be used in the
AXX-products: Teridian (former TDK) and ITT/AimBridges.
Due to slightly different design of the release buttons,
Teridian SFPs are the most troublesome to extract.In case
of problems to un-plug a Teridian SFP, pull off the release
button, and push in e.g. a straightened paper clip to activate
the SFP cage release spring.
Warning!
If using other SFP modules than delivered from Ericsson
AXXESSIT, Ericsson AXXESSIT disclaim responsibility of
possible damage or malfunction that might occur to involved
equipment. Ericsson AXXESSIT may also introduce coded SFPs
in the future, which will complicate a SW upgrade.
Caution!
Only install optical SFP-modules complying with EN/IEC 60825-1
