Dates
Procedure (see Figure 4–2) :
1/ Stop the measurement cycle and disconnect the pump from the analyzer before any intervention.
2/ Disassembly of a pump head :
–
Mark with a pen line the cover (T), the cylinder head (C) and the pump body (A) to avoid a
incorrect positioning of parts during reassembly.
–
Unscrew the four hexagon socket head screws (B) of fixation and remove the assembly
composed of the cover (T) and the cylinder head (C) of the pump body.
3/ Replacement of the diaphragm :
–
Unscrew the screw (D) and remove the tightening disc (E), the lock washer (L) as well as the
diaphragm (F).
–
Remove the four screws (G) and remove the cover (H) to access the mechanical part of the
pump body.
–
Place the connecting rod (K) in half-stroke position turning the counterweight, then put in place
the new diaphragm (F).
–
Check the cleanliness of the whole parts, and, if necessary, clean them.
–
Replace the disc (E) and the lock washer (L) on the diaphragm and strongly tighten the whole
using the screw (D).
–
Replace the cover (T) and cylinder head (C) assembly by respecting the position of pen line.
Settle regularly and crosswise, using the hexagon socket head screw.
–
Check operation by manually turning the counterweight. There should not be stiff point. Put in
place the cover (H) with the screws (G).
4/ Replacement of check valves and O-rings :
–
Remove the cover (T) from the cylinder head by unscrewing the six screws (S).
–
Remove the screw of the check valve (N), remove and replace the worn lower check valve of
the cylinder head.
–
Check cleanliness of the cylinder head, cover and housings of check valves. In case of
unevenness, scratches or corrosion, parts replacement is necessary.
–
Remove the screw of the check valve (U), remove and replace the worn upper check valve (P).
5/ Putting back in place the pump head : replace the cover (T) with a new gasket (V) and tighten the
six screws (S) regularly and crosswise.
6/ Do the same with the second pump head.
7/ Put back in place the pneumatic connections between the two pump heads.
8/ Re-connect the pump to the analyzer.
