N.B.
You may have to change or correct settings in certain functions of the function matrix in order to rectify
faults.
Flow values are negative,
even though the fluid is
flowing forwards through the
pipe.
1.
If remote version:
– Switch off power supply and check wiring
→
– If necessary, reverse the connections at terminals 41 and 42
2.
Change the setting in the “INST. DIRECTION, SENSOR” function
accordingly
Measured value reading
fluctuates even though flow
is steady.
1.
Check grounding and potential equalisation
→
2.
Check the fluid for presence of gas bubbles.
3.
SYSTEM DAMPING function
→
Increase value
Measured value reading
shown on display, even
though the fluid is at a
standstill and the measuring
tube is full.
1.
Check grounding and potential equalisation
→
2.
Check the fluid for presence of gas bubbles.
3.
Activate the “LOW FLOW CUT OFF” function, i.e. enter or increase the
value for the switch point.
Measured value reading on
display even though
measuring tube is empty?
1.
Perform empty or full pipe adjustment and then switch on Empty Pipe
Detection
2.
Remote version: check the terminal connections of the EPD cable
→
3.
Fill the measuring tube.
The current output signal is
always 4 mA, irrespective of
the flow signal at any given
time.
1.
Set the “BUS ADDRESS” function to “0”.
2.
Low flow cut off too high. Reduce value in the “LOW FLOW CUT OFF”
function.
The fault cannot be rectified
or some other fault not
described above has
occurred.
In these instances, please
contact your E+H service
organisation.
The following options are available for tackling problems of this nature:
Request the services of an E+H service technician
If you contact our service organisation to have a service technician sent
out, please be ready with the following information:
– Brief description of the fault
– Nameplate specifications (Page 7 ff.): order code and serial number
Return devices to E+H
The procedures on Page 6 must be carried out before you return a
flowmeter requiring repair or calibration to Hauser.
Always enclose a fully completed “Declaration of Contamination” form
with the flowmeter. A copy of the "Dangerous Goods Sheet" can be found
at the end of these Operating Instructions.
