Warning!
If you use remote versions, connect each sensor
only
to the transmitter having the same
serial number. Measuring errors can occur if the devices are not connected in this way.

Connecting the remote version

Warning!
•
Risk of electric shock! Switch off the power supply before opening the device. Do not
install or wire the device while it is connected to the power supply. Failure to comply
with this precaution can result in irreparable damage to the electronics.
•
Risk of electric shock! Connect the protective earth to the ground connection on the
housing before the power supply is applied.
Procedure (Fig. 24, Fig. 25):
1.
Transmitter: loosen the screws and remove the cover (a) from the connection
compartment.
2.
Sensor: remove cover (b) from the connection housing.
3.
Feed the signal cable (c) and coil current cable (d) through the appropriate cable
entries.

Caution!
– Make sure the connecting cables are secured (see Page 21).
– Risk of damaging the coil driver. Always switch off the power supply
beforeconnecting or disconnecting the coil cable.
4.
Preterminate the signal cable and coil current cable:

5.
Establish the connections between the sensor and transmitter in accordance with
the wiring diagram:

Caution!
Insulate the shields of cables that are not connected to eliminate the risk of short-
circuits with neighbouring cable shields inside the sensor connection housing.
6.
Transmitter: secure cover (a) on the connection compartment and tighten the
socket head cap screw of the securing clamp.
7.
Sensor: secure cover (b) on the connection housing.
