Chapter 7. Operation
A teach panel is composed of a mode part, operation part, position variable value display part, other
variable value display part, and data control part.
A data control part is composed of functions to read all variables from a PC or MCU at a time or write
them in a PC or MCU, so it is a useful function to back up or restore the entire variables.
The other variable value display part is composed of three tabs and tables to display the velocity,
dwell and L variables.
The mode part is composed of a command button to set the operation mode of an MCU and a search button
to search variable values in real time.
The operation method of the operation part is the same as the manual operation method of the system
panel, and the remaining distance display part can be changed into a machine position display part by
selecting a
.
The variable values are read and displayed from an MCU when the teach panel window is first executed.
The setting method of each variable is as follows:

Setting of position variables(P00~P99)
The position variable setting method can be divided into a direct input and an indirect input.
The direct input is a method to select a variable to enter from the position variable value
display part and directly enter an arbitrary value through the input box, and the indirect input
method is a method to select a variable to enter and enter the absolute position or machine
position being displayed on the teach panel into the position variable.
The direct input method of a position variable is as follows:
- Double click a position variable(P variable) for forced setting among position variables.
- The P variable display area for forced setting is converted into an
input box
to input a value.
- Entering a setting value in the input box and then pressing the “ENTER” key sets a P variable
value forcedly.
- Pressing the “ESCAPE” key during an input cancels the input and makes the input box disappear.
- The input range of P variables is ‘-99999999’ t99999999’, and the input unit is um.
- The P variable value can be forcedly set during automatic operation, but it can cause a
malfunction, so be careful.
The indirect input method of a position variable is as follows:
- Select a position variable to set.
- Double clicking the position in an absolute position display area of the operation part enters
an absolute position value of the axis into a position variable. In order to indirectly enter
the value of the X axis item, double click the position value of the
, and
in order to indirectly enter a value of the Y axis item, double click the position value of the
.
- The value of P variables can be forcedly set during automatic operation, which however can be a
cause of malfunctions, so be careful.
