Chapter 9. Standard Input/ Output Signal
1)
PLC communication parameter setting
(1) Use a PLC communication parameter window in the setting menu of the MSW-MCU2 S/W package.
(2) Setting item

Station number : Settable up to station number 0 ~ 63

Transmission speed(Baudrate) : Select one among 9600, 19200, 38400bps
③
Parity bit : Select one among None, Even, Odd
④
Data bit : Select one among 8, 7 bits
⑤
Stop bit : Select one among 1, 2 bits
⑥
Protocol type : Select a detailed protocol type
(3) For types of protocol, refer to the content of H/W version displayed on the help menu.
Reference:“⑥ protocol types” of setting items provide No.1 and 4 among detailed
classification numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 for MELSEC-UC24 protocols for example.
(see the PLC communication module setting and touch connection)
- When connecting a TOUCH panel, for example, select No.1 TOP(PMU) of M2I company, No.4
GP for Proface company, and one among No.1 and 4 for other companies.
2)Physical connection of PLC communication and connection of connectors
(1) Physical connection: Connection communication types of RS485 or RS232C
(2) Composition and connection of PLC communication connectors of MCU2
When composing RS232C
No.1 PIN: PROTOCOL selection signal(connect with No.5)
No.5 PIN: SG signal(connect with No.1)
No.2 PIN: RS232C-RX signal(Exclusive use or PLC
communication)
No.3 PIN: RS232C-TX signal(Exclusive use or PLC
communication)
When composing RS485
No.7 PIN: TRX+(SRD-A) signal
No.8 PIN: TRX-(SRD-B) signal
Note) Connect the“No.1 PIN: PROTOCOL selection signal”and“No.5 PIN: SG signal” with
each other when connecting a PLC and a touch with RS232C communication when using
MCU-XA2, MCU-XP2.
