Possible damage to the XRGI® system due to unsuitable installation room!
Appropriate measures for the permissible surface loading of the ceiling may need to be clarified with a structural engineer.
The minimum space requirement for installing an XRGI® 6/9 Power Unit is 3.5 m
2
and an XRGI® 15/20 Power Unit is 4 m
2
. It must be
easily accessible from all sides for servicing and maintenance work (
→
Chapter 4.5).
Possible installation rooms:
■
Boiler room
■
Separate installation space
■
When deciding where to install the system country specific regulations should be observed.
Observe and comply with the applicable regulations, rules and standards.
The installation location must meet the following criteria:
■
There must be sufficient clearance for the installation and also for future maintenance and repair work.
■
The entrance should be at least 800 mm wide, with no stairwell etc. impeding access to the location.
■
It is also highly beneficial if adjacent areas enable pallet trucks or forklifts to be used.
■
The space should also be suitable for the installation of fireplaces, heat pumps, CHP units and fixed combustion engines.
■
The space must be well lit.
■
A 230V AC power supply is required for the Q-Heat Distributor.
■
The space should be ventilated.
■
The space should be frost-free.
■
Do not install the XRGI® system in the vicinity of boiler air inlets.
The Power Unit must be installed on a level, watertight, non-flammable base with sufficient load-bearing capacity. The foundation
should be designed to take the weight of the XRGI® system. The foundation must be waterproof and non-combustible.
Keep the room temperature below 35 °C and never allow it to exceed 40 °C to maximise the service life of some of the components
(electronic components). Fit a mechanical ventilation system to regulate the temperature if temperatures are expected to be higher.
Never install XRGI® systems in areas with high dust levels or high humidity levels, like laundries.
Make allowance for noise-sensitive areas, despite the low noise emissions of the XRGI® system. Moreover, make sure that all connec-
tions are reliably soundproofed.
