■
Blow the gas hose clean in advance
■
Screw the gas hose
(2)
to the gas connection
(1)
on the back of the Power Unit.
■
Install a gas tap
(3)
in an easily accessible position in front of the gas connection.
■
Bleed the gas line before start-up.
■
Check the gas connection for leaks.
Improper gas installation may compromise the operational safety of the XRGI® system and cause personal injury and
property damage. Only allow an authorised fitted to install the gas installation following the energy provider‘s natio-
nal guidelines, gas safety rules and EC POWER installation guidelines.
Improper gas installation may compromise the operational safety of the XRGI® system and cause personal injury and
property damage. Use the supplied gas hose for the gas connection and mount it in a sagging and tension-free man-
ner. Use only rubber-lined pipe clips.
The gas installation may only be carried out by a licensed installer. The local regulations of the energy suppliers, the gas
safety rules and the installation guidelines of EC POWER must be observed.
Make sure that the gas pipe is free of tension and torsion using the gas safety hose included in
the scope of supply. This hose complies with the regulations governing combustion systems
and is authorised by the manufacturer for this use. The improper use and/or use of unsuitable
tools could cause damage. Follow the hose manufacturer‘s installation guidelines. Fit an easily
accessible gas tap and gas filter upstream of the gas hose.
Make sure that the gas used complies with the gas data given on the type plate. Only allow trained and qualified specialists to make
adjustments to the gas safety block. The maximum permitted upstream pressure from the gas network is 50 mbar; the minimum
upstream pressure required is 10 mbar (low pressure). Use a gas pressure regulator if the pressure is higher.
The XRGI® system is designed for gas type I2R natural gas, in other words, natural gas family 2 (H, E, L and LL gas). The mixer device is
pre-set for H and E gas as standard. Ask your gas supplier about the type of gas they supply.
The XRGI® system can run on both natural gas and liquid gas without the need for technical modifications. However, if you use liquid
gas, you will need to use a pressure-reducing valve upstream of the XRGI® system.
If required, a separate gas meter and gas flow monitor can be installed for the XRGI®
system. When installing a gas flow monitor, it should be noted that a gas flow monitor
must be installed after each connected consumer.
