Application cases for the effective use of the device parameters
Stop on SWD error, deactivated:
• You leave this option deactivated if you wish to run an easy800-SWD only
with the local inputs I1 to I4 and without an SWD line.
• You leave this option deactivated if you wish to address a local output
such as an alarm, despite an SWD error.
Compatible devices permissible, activated:
• The installation was already in operation and the target and project
configuration are on the easy800-SWD. easy800 is switched off in order
to replace a faulty station. As you don't have a replacement of the same
type, you use a compatible type according to the table.
If you switch on easy800-SWD, the actual configuration is determined.
The device compares the actual configuration with the target
configuration and determines that they are different. You then have to
press the Config configuration button. In response, easy800-SWD reads
the new target configuration. easy800-SWD compares the target
configuration with the project configuration and determines they are
different. The device checks whether the “Compatible devices
permissible” option was selected. If this is the case, there is no SWD
error and easy800-SWD starts to run.
Can be replaced with universal module, activated:
• You are configuring an installation and wish to first use a universal
module for a particular station. The actual station is not to be installed
until a later expansion stage. You activate for this the “Replaceable with
universal module” device parameter. This enables you to replace the
station of the project configuration with a universal module in the target
configuration. After you have installed the universal module on the de-
energized SWD line, you switch on easy800-SWD and press the Config
configuration button. The target configuration is read in. The comparison
with the project configuration determines that they do not match.
easy800-SWD checks whether the device parameter was activated for
this station. If this is the case, easy800-SWD starts up, otherwise an
SWD error is reported.
