3.8 The first circuit diagram
The following provides a step by step example of how to wire your first
circuit diagram. In this way you will learn all the rules, quickly enabling you to
use an easy800 device for your own projects.
As with conventional wiring, you use contacts and relays in the diagram.
The easy800 device saves you having to use and wire different components.
At the push of a few buttons, the easy800 circuit diagram produces all the
wiring required. All you have to do is then connect any switches, sensors,
lamps or contactors you wish to use.
3.8.1 Switching to the circuit diagram
Requirements for circuit diagram entry:
The easy800 device is not in STOP mode. They are in the Status display.

Press OK to move from the Status display to the main menu.
The PROGRAM menu option must then be selected on the easy800 device.
In general, press OK to switch to the next menu level, and press ESC to
move one level back.

Press OK twice to enter the circuit diagram display via menu options
PROGRAM… -> CIRCUIT DIAGRAM. This is where you will create the
circuit diagram.

The content of the circuit diagram is displayed in the first three lines.
This window can be moved over the circuit diagram. At the moment the
circuit diagram is empty. The cursor flashes at the top left, which is where
you will start to wire your circuit diagram.
The last line indicates the position of the cursor:
• L: = Rung ( L ine)
• C: = Contact or coil field ( C olumn)
• B: = Amount of free memory in B ytes
