Installation

2.1 Installation Procedures
2.1.1 Mechanical Installation

Duff-Norton electromechanical actuators can be used in tension, compression or combination tension/compression
applications. Examples of tension and compression appear on the right.

Mount the actuator to avoid side loading and eccentric loading. To optimize the performance and life of the actuator,
mount it so that the load is applied along the longitudinal axis of the translating tube. Examples of proper and improper
loading arrangements appear below.
