7. Remove the thrust washers (24 & 36) and thrust bearing (25). Note that these bearing sets may come off with the
controls housing assembly (41) or they may stay with the spacer nut (27) and dowel pin (37). Inspect both locations
to verify that you have accounted for all components.
8. Pull the cluster gear (38) from the dowel pin (37).
9. To separate the motor (10) from the housing (1), remove the three socket head cap screws (16) and sealing
washers (15).
10. Remove the O-ring (9).
NOTE: The O-ring (9) may come out with the motor (10) or it may stay in the housing (1) when the motor (10) is removed.
11. To remove the outer tube (31), unscrew the two set screws (35) from the housing (1).
12. To prevent damage to the air vent (34), remove it from the outer tube (31) and set it aside.
13. Unscrew the outer tube (31) and pull over the translating tube and clevis assembly (29).
14. Remove the dog-point set screw (28) from the spacer nut (27).
15. Unscrew the spacer nut (27) from the screw (18) by clamping the screw (18) between a soft-jawed vise.
16. Pull the output gear (26) from the screw (18).
17. Remove the thrust washers (24) and thrust bearing (25) from the screw (18) and the thrust washer (36) from the
dowel pin (37).
18. Remove the translating tube subassembly (consisting of items 29, 20, 19, 18, 23, 21, 22) from the housing (1).
19. Remove the outer tube gasket (17) from the housing (1).
DISASSEMBLY OF ALL SERVICEABLE COMPONENTS IS NOW COMPLETE.
