2.4 Limit Switch Adjustment
•
The Extend Limit and Retract Limit are preset at the factory to prevent overtravel of the actuator.
•
Travel limits may be set inside of these boundaries according to the application needs. To set the limits from the
User I/O board, simply operate the actuator to the preferred position for the Retract Limit, and press the R-Limit
button. The R-Limit LED will blink once to acknowledge the setup. Then operate the actuator to the preferred position
for the Extend Limit, and press the E-Limit button. The E-Limit LED will blink once to acknowledge the setup.
•
To erase a user-settable limit, press and hold the corresponding button (R-Limit or E-Limit) for over
2 seconds. The limit will be erased, and the corresponding LED will blink 3 times to acknowledge the operation. The
factory limits will still be in place.
•
The limits may also be configured using the Intelli-Motion Configurator software.
2.5 Setting the Actuator Speed
For the base and analog models, the default actuator speed is 100% (0.83 in./sec). The speed may be adjusted for
application requirements using the Intelli-Motion Configurator software.
For the Ethernet I/P model, the actuator speed may be set through the control messaging.
