13.3 Cleaning Procedures
1. Turn off and lock out the electrical power (ensure the electrical cabinet is securely closed).
2. Turn off the factory air, and use the quick disconnect to remove the air supply from the machine.
3. Clean the operator interface panel assembly with a soft cloth or a sponge.
4. Remove all of the guards to expose all surfaces for cleaning.
5. Close and secure the control box.
6. Cover external electrical connections
7. Cover the operator interface assembly.
8. Clean and sanitize all surfaces according to current safety rules.
9. While cleaning, inspect for worn or damaged components that may need to be replaced.
10. After cleaning, rinse the machine with a low-pressure wash, then blow off the machine with air.
11. After cleaning, rinsing and air blowing, spray a light coating to all surfaces of the entire machine
using a 10 weight, food grade mineral oil.
12. Coat the voider shafts with a spray grease after machine wash down.
13. After cleaning and lubricating, before returning the machine to production, perform these steps:
•
Reassemble the guards and check them for safe operation.
•
After reassembly, run the machine for a minimum of two complete cycles.

next two pages.
