When you install the loop spool on the spool shaft, ensure that one white delrin spacer is behind the spool
and one delrin spacer is in front of the spool. If the spacers are not in place both in front of and behind the
spool, you will have either too much tension or not enough tension on the loop spool. Tape tension
problems can affect the loop feed accuracy and could break the tape.
Also, make sure there is no grease or oil on the back flange of the loop spool or the loop brake. If there is
oil or grease on the spool flange or the brake, the tension on the loop spool will be reduced and the
looper may malfunction.
Feed Loops to Startup Position
After the loops are installed on the looper, turn on the machine. Push the loop feed button on the interface
panel until the first loop knot stops just short of the loop door on the die support as shown in Detail “B”
below. If the loop is too close or too far away from the loop door, use the roller handle (
H
) as shown in
