11) Spark plug

Spark plugs play a critical role in the 

proper operation of this engine.

The natural gas conversion uses a 

special spark plug designed 

specifically for this type operation. 

Features of this plug include a smaller 

spark plug gap than the typical 

gasoline applications.

The fuel-air mixture in combustion 

chamber is ignited by the spark plug.

12) Ignition timing sensor

The timing sensor used in this 

application is a VR sensor. This 

sensor uses a magnetically biased 

hall effect integrated circuit to 

accurately sense movement of 

ferrous metal targets and functions 

from a 24VDC power supply.
