It is defined as Encoder control word 2. Control word STW2_ENC includes the Control by

PLC mechanisms from PROFIdrive STW1 and the Controller Sign-Of-Life mechanism

from PROFIdrive STW2.

If the Compatibility Mode is enabled (see "

Compatibility Mode" on page 66

), then the bit

always checked.

If the Compatibility Mode is disabled (see "
