a) Modify the Min_Azimuth_Bound value to set the starting angle of the scan area. This is an
angular degree indicating the starting point of the scan area. The LiDAR reports data found
between the min and max points.
This must be lower than Max_Azimuth_Bound.
b) Modify the Max_Azimuth_Bound value to set the ending angle of the scan area. This is an angular
degree indicating the end line of a scan area. The LiDAR reports data found between the min and
max points.
This must be greater than Min_Azimuth_Bound.
c) Modify the Horizontal_Resolution value to set the number of pixels the LiDAR scans in one
rotation. Options include 512, 1024, and 2048.
d) Modify the Framerate value to set the number of complete scan rotations the LiDAR completes in
one second. Options include 10Hz and 20Hz.
The framerate cannot be set to 20Hz with a horizontal resolution of 2048.
5. Reset the Ouster LiDAR hardware after changing the configuration to implement the changes.
Hardware and Ethernet Configuration Guidelines for One LiDAR
This section describes the process to configure a single Ouster LiDAR hardware and the Ethernet outputs
within PLUS+1 GUIDE.
After adding and configuring the Ouster LiDAR compliance block, decide how to set up the Ouster LiDAR
hardware. Options include:
1.
Configure Hardware Directly to the Controller
2.
Configure Using the Controller DHCP Service
on page 21
3.
Configure Hardware on a Local Network
Configure Hardware Directly to the Controller
Follow these guidelines to set up the Ouster LiDAR hardware and directly connect it to a controller.
•
Mount and wire the LiDAR following the guidelines in the hardware user manual provided by Ouster.
•
Use an M12 to RJ45 Ethernet cable to connect the Ouster Interface Box directly to the controller. This
cable may not come with the Ouster LiDAR hardware.
