10.2 Procedure and Outline
Use the following procedure to conduct the initial test operation after installation:
10.2.1 Check Work Prior to Turn Power Supply On
Check on refrigerant piping /
ins
u lation materials
Check airtight test and v ac uu m
drying.

Is the w iring installed as specified?
Is designated w iring u sed?
Is the w iring scre w tight?
Is the gro u nding w ork completed?
Is the ins u lation of the main po w er s u pply circ u it deteriorated?
Use a 500 V megger tester to meas u re the ins u lation. (*1)

Do not u se a megger tester for other circ u its than 200 V (or
240 V ) circ u it.
*1:Meas u res to b e taken against decreased ins u lation resistance in
the compressor:
If the compressor is left to stand for
an extended period of time after the
refrigerant is charged
w ith the stop
v al v e open and the po w er s u pply
OFF, refrigerant may b e mixed in the
compressor, th u s decreasing the
ins u lation resistance.
Heat the compressor as sho w n on
the right and then recheck the
ins
u lation.
Is the pipe size correct?
Are the design press u res for the li qu id pipe, gas pipe, and
press u re e qu alizer pipe (in case of m u lti u nits) all not less than
5 8 0psi?
Is the pipe ins u lation material installed sec u rely?
Li qu id, gas pipe need to b e ins u lated. (Other w ise ca u ses w ater
leaks.)
Ha v e the airtight test and the v ac uu m drying b een cond u cted
according to the proced u re in the Installation Man u al?
