Replacing the Air Regulator

Parts

8011834 Air Regulator

➢

To replace the air regulator

1. Turn off all electrical power to the system. For more information, refer to the section

“

Shutting Down the System

” on page 59.

2. Turn the air shut-off valve to the horizontal position, which is the OFF position.

3. Disconnect the air supply hose from the air supply connector.

4. Unscrew the two screws attached to the cover and remove the safety cover.

5. Unscrew the plastic ring at the top of the air regulator.

6. Gently pull the air regulator down to remove it.

7. Using an open-end wrench, loosen the hex nut to remove the shut-off valve from the air

regulator body.

8. Apply teflon tape to the tape threads on the new air regulator.

9. Install the shut-off valve on the new air regulator. Verify that the shut-off valve is aligned

properly with the air regulator.

10. Install the new air regulator.

11. Turn the knob at the top of the air regulator to turn the air pressure OFF before reconnecting

air.

12. Screw on the plastic ring at the top of the air regulator.

13. Attach the safety cover to the air regulator with the two screws.

14. Reconnect and turn on the air supply.

15. Turn the knob at the top of the air regulator to set the air pressure to 90 psi ± 10 psi.
