Gantry Components

Adjusting X-axis and Y-axis Orthogonality

This procedure is to adjust the X-axis and Y-axis orthogonality. This section shows the
procedures performed when the machine is not in the production line.

➢

To adjust the X-axis and Y-axis orthogonality

1. Turn off all electrical power to the system. For more information, refer to the section

“

Shutting Down the System

” on page 59.

2. Place the square granite ruler and indicators. Contact CyberOptics for the part number of the

granite ruler and indicator.

3. Make Y-axis as the reference.

4. Set a target within 5 μm and adjust the X-Axis.
