Connecting SMEMA Cables

Use the SMEMA connections to facilitate board handling between machines in the SMT line.

➢

To connect SMEMA cables

1. Shut down Windows and then push the E-Stop button on the front of the unit.

2. Turn off all electrical power to the system. For more information, refer to “

Shutting Down the

System

” on page 59.

3. Route the SMEMA cables under the SE505 unit to the connectors on the rear.

4. Connect the upstream cable to the upper connector.

5. Connect the downstream cable to the lower connector.
