Replacing Components and Preventive Maintenance

SE505 Hardware Manual

Preventive Maintenance

Cleaning Rear Fans

Perform this procedure monthly or more frequently if required.

To clean rear fans

1. Turn off all electrical power to the system. For more information, refer to the section

“

Shutting Down the System

” on page 59.

2. Locate the fans on the back electrical panel.

3. Using a dry cloth, remove any dust covering the fans and wipe off the remaining dust from

the outside of the air intakes.

4. On the inside check the fans for dust buildup. Remove dust buildup using a dry cloth.

Keep away from the system so the dust will not get into the electronics panel.

5. Set the AC main circuit breaker to ON.
