3 Installation
3.1
Overview
This chapter provides information for unpacking and installing the INVOS™ regional saturation
patient monitoring system, as well as connections and elements.
3.2
Unpacking
Note:
Verify all the environmental requirements are met before unpacking the INVOS
™
system (see section
).
Inspect the shipping container visually for signs of damage or abuse during transit.
Carefully unpack the INVOS™ system and all accessories. Verify the following pieces are present:
•
INVOS™ system monitor
•
Preamplifier A, channel 1 and 2
•
Reusable sensor cable, channel 1
•
Reusable sensor cable, channel 2
•
Power cord
•
USB flash drive
•
Operator’s manual
•
Any other ordered accessories
Note:
The INVOS™ system components listed are for two-channel monitoring. The four-channel system will
also include preamplifier B and reusable sensor cables for channels 3 and 4.
Note:
Save the box and packing material for any future transport.
