Using the Digital Output Port

•
Philips VOI/RS-232 interface cable (Philips VueLink™* P/N M1032 #K6B)
•
VueLink™* adapter cable, DB25F to DB9F (Covidien P/N VLI)
The following hardware is needed for Philips IntelliBridge™* communication:
•
Philips IntelliBridge
™*
EC10 module (Philips P/N 865115, driver code IB-ED101-A.3)
•
Philips ethernet cable or alternative (CAT-5 or better, straight-wired, not longer than 10 m)
•
Philips IntelliBridge
™*
EC5 Open Interface module (Philips P/N 865114 #104)
•
INVOS™ system (model 5100C) serial port extension

Note:
Philips IntelliBridge™* and VueLink™* Open Interface (IVOI) is a product of Philips Medical Systems, a part
of Royal Philips Electronics (www.Medical.Philips.com).
If the VueLink™* Open Interface (VOI B) module is used, install the VOI B module and connect to
the INVOS™ system by performing the following steps.
1.
Insert the VOI B module into any of the open slots on the remote monitor, making sure the VOI B locks
into place.
2.
Connect the VOI/RS-232 interface cable to the VOI B module.
3.
Connect the DB-25 plug of the VueLink™* adapter cable to the VOI/RS-232 interface cable.
4.
Connect the DB-9 plug of the VueLink™* adapter cable to the digital output port on the INVOS™
system.
5.
Tighten all screw locks at each connector junction.
If the IntelliBridge™* EC10 module is used, install the EC10 module and connect to the INVOS™
system by performing the following steps.
1.
Insert the IntelliBridge
™*
EC10 module into any of the open slots on the remote monitor, making sure
the EC10 module locks into place.
2.
Connect the ethernet cable to the IntelliBridge
™*
EC10 module.
3.
Connect the ethernet cable to the RJ-11 plug of the IntelliBridge
™*
EC5 Open Interface module.
4.
Connect the INVOS™ system (model 5100C) serial port extension to the digital output port of the
INVOS™ system and tighten the screws.
5.
Connect the IntelliBridge
™*
EC5 Open Interface module to the INVOS™ system (model 5100C) serial
port extension.
6.
Tighten all the screw locks at each connector junction.
