Upgrading the Minitower Workstation

Sliding Out the System Board Tray

The slide-out system board tray allows you to quickly remove
the system board, without using tools.

WARNING:

Before removing the workstation access panel,

ensure that the workstation is turned off and that the power cord is
disconnected from the electrical outlet.

1. If you have locked the Smart Cover Lock, use Computer

Setup to unlock the lock and disable the Smart Cover
Sensor.

2. Shut down the operating system properly, then turn off the

workstation and any external devices.

3. Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet.

4. Remove the workstation access panel and turn the

minitower on its side, with the open side up.

5. Raise the expansion card cage into service position 2. You

do not need to remove the cage from the chassis.
