To change the system board switch module, you must
remove the workstation cover. For information about
removing the workstation cover, refer to Chapter 5,
“Upgrading the Desktop Workstation” or Chapter 6,
“Upgrading the Minitower Workstation.”

shock and/or hot surfaces, be sure to disconnect the power cord
from the wall outlet, and allow the internal system components to
cool before touching.
Disabling and
Enabling the Power-
On Password
(Intel BX Chipset)
The workstation is shipped with the power-on password feature
enabled. To disable the power-on password, set S1 on SW1 to On.
If you choose to enable the password later, you will need to set a
new power-on password using Computer Setup.
Using a Power Strip
to Control Power
(Intel BX Chipset)
If you connect your workstation to an electric power strip, and
would like to turn on power to the workstation using the switch
on the power strip, set S6 on SW1 to ON.

If you turn off power to your workstation using the switch
on a power strip, you will not be able to use the Suspend
feature or the Remote Management features.
