Example
usage for “x” and “#i,n” commands
The following example usage for the “#i,n” command will provide detailed steps in
using both “x” and “#i,n” though a Telnet connection.
First send “x”, and the following response is sent back.
5,5,3000,MDY
This shows that five (5) samples are in memory, the next sample location in the
circular buffer is 5 (since the memory starts at 0), the buffer size is 3000, and the
date format of the unit is currently Month, Day, Year.
Now, to get the two most recent samples from the counter, the following command
would be used:
Send “#4,2”, and the counter sends back the two most recent samples to the Telnet
window, with “4” designating the first record to retrieve, and “2” indicating how
many records to retrieve.
The output would look something like the following example:
0,01/22/08,08:35:49,BENCH,TESTING LAB MON,,LAB ROOM 1,2,5L, TOTAL
COUNTS,77035,12464,3505,217, 1.00,000000,1,1,12/17/08
0,01/22/08,08:35:39,BENCH,TESTING LAB MON,,LAB ROOM 1,1,5L, TOTAL
COUNTS,76621,12657,3633,232, 1.00,000000,1,1,12/17/08
Note that sending “#i,n” with values of
i
and
n
outside of their limits will result in
error messages from the counter.
Sending “#0,0” or ”3000,11” will result in the following response:
ERROR
