Terms and Conventions

1. The EXTender 1100A Switch Module is a single-user communications device and is

referred to as the Switch.

2. The EXTender 1100A Remote Module is a single-user communications device and is

referred to as the Remote.

3. The Management Console is the programming interface that is accessed through the

PC’s communications port and is referred to as the MC.

4. The Management Browser is the programming interface that is accessed through a

Web Browser and is referred to as the MB.

5. The Remote Telephone Management Interface this is accessed through the digital

telephone using the LCD phone display is referred to as the TMI.

6. The corporate PBX (Private Branch Exchange), KTS (Key Telephone System) or KSU

(Key Service Unit) is the phone system currently used by the client. For simplicity,
they will all be referred to as the PBX.
