Static Routes
Are used by a system that does not implement adaptive
routing. In these systems routes through a data network are
described by fixed paths (statically). These routes are
usually entered into the router by the system administrator.
Subnet Mask
The subnet mask is used to determine where the network
number in an IP address ends and the node number in an IP
address begins.

TCP/IP
Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol
The open computer network communications standard upon
which the internet, and internet telephony, is based. Often
abbreviated to IP.
TCP/UDP Network

Teleworker
A work arrangement in which employees enjoy limited

A standard Internet protocol for accessing remote systems.

The voice quality resulting from the use of a nominal 4-kHz
telephone channel.

Originally, a video display terminal manufactured by the
Digital Equipment Corporation. It is now the most commonly

A computer, including software package, that provides a
specific kind of service to client software running on other
computers. More specifically, a server is a computer that
manages and shares web based applications accessible
anytime from any computer connected to the Internet.
WEEE
The European Community directive on waste electrical and
electronic equipment which, together with the RoHS
Directive, became European Law in February 2003, setting
collection, recycling and recovery targets for all types of
electrical goods.
