The Cisco uBR7200 series supports VPN services. 

Figure 1-6

 shows a typical VPN architecture. VPNs 

can be initiated at a cable modem residing at a subscriber site or can be initiated by the CMTS at the 
headend or distribution hub depending upon your particular Cisco IOS software image.
