ME2000S
is ready to run both in STAND ALONE mode and ON-LINE mode, connected with a PC.
If you use our software POWERTAG, the system is already able to produce metal plates with a USB
connection.
But if another application software is used, it is necessary to check the correct configuration of the
parameters concerning the communication protocol.
To access those parameters, refer to the chapter “USE AND SETTINGS OF THE MACHINE”.
Also refer to the chapter “USE AND SETTINGS OF THE MACHINE” to operate in STAND ALONE
mode.
If the machine does not turn ON, make sure that the power outlet voltage is correct and check the
integrity of the fuse.
If the machine does not complete the cycle described above, then malfunctions might be occurring. In
this case see the chapter Error messages and problem solving.
CHECKING THE FUNCTIONALITY OF SAFETY DEVICES
In order to guarantee the functioning of the machine in safety conditions it is necessary that the
interlock switches of the panels work properly.
Before starting the work shift (at least once a day) switch the machine on and when it is in
READY condition, open the front cover. Then check that the machine, after any inter-put, signals an
alert situation "cover open or pin in its seat". Close the cover and press RETURN; the machine will run a
reset cycle to go back to the READY condition.
If the machine does not do as described above, this means that the safety devices are not
operating correctly. In this case, switch the machine off and contact the technical service.
SAFETY MUSHROOM PUSHBUTTON (EMERGENCY STOP)
The red MUSHROOM PUSHBUTTON is a maintained safety button with turn to reset head. If any
emergency situations occur the safety mushroom button permits the fastest arrest of the machine.
The pushbutton doesn’t switch off the machine but stops the mechanical moving part and remove the
power from the motors. Press the mushroom button to stop the machine and turn it clockwise to come
back to the operating mode. Then press start to reset the machine and resume the job.
IMPORTANT:
IF YOU HEAR UNUSUAL NOISES OR SOUNDS COMING FROM THE
MACHINE, SWITCH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY AND CALL THE TECHNICAL
SERVICE
CAUTION:
IF THE DISPLAY LIGHTS UP BUT NOTHING APPEARS ON THE SCREEN,
SWITCH THE EMBOSSER OFF AND CALL THE TECHNICAL SERVICE
