Face Detection
Able to acquire face information of a person in the video and use it for analysis by an external system or application.

Audio Detection
Detects audio input to the camera.
Volume Detection
Function which detects whether the volume level input to the camera is greater or less than the reference value set in
the settings.
These are set with [Audio Detection] > [Volume Detection] (P. 104), not with [Intelligent Function].
Notes on Intelligent Function Settings and Operations
• When setting the Intelligent Function, perform an actual detection test to confirm that detection will be performed
correctly.
• If a sudden change in lightness or darkness occurs within the entire screen, proper detection may not be possible for up
to six minutes.
• In order to detect movement of objects, the intelligent function internally generates and stores video without movement
as background image. The intelligent function restarts and regenerates background images in the following cases. It
may take tens of seconds to restart depending on the settings. No detection is performed during this time. For more
information regarding restart settings, refer to [Option Settings] > (2) [Reset Processing] (P. 112).
– When operating the camera while Intelligent Function is being set or is operating
– When switching to day mode/night mode (P. 65)
– When running [Restart intelligent function] (P. 110)
• If each video stream is changed in [Video] > [Video], be sure to change the preset position settings and Intelligent
Function settings, and check operations. The Intelligent Function may not operate, depending on the settings.
• Image shift due to camera vibration may be detected as image change.
• If the camera vibrates excessively, the detection result may not be displayed properly even if image shift is reduced by
applying Image Stabilizer.
• When the image is zoomed in (telephoto), detection may not work as expected.
• Please review the Intelligent Function if the angle of view has changed through camera operation, or the preset/home
position fixing the camera position has changed.
• If there are [Enable] detection settings in [Status] of [Detection Settings] when the camera position is fixed, control
privileges cannot be obtained by the Viewer connected by the user without privileges for privileged camera control. Also,
the preset tour ( ) will no longer run.
• If a preset registered in the digital zoom area is used, it may not be possible to reproduce the camera position at
registration with high accuracy. Therefore, it is recommended to use a preset registered in the optical zoom area for the
intelligent function.
