QC Chart Reference
C. System QC Charts
The
i
Matic includes a versatile QC Charting function that allows background and
efficiency QC information to be tracked over time. The QC Chart features a 90-point
moving-window that allows multiple-points-per-day to be included in the chart. The
Printer Setup default is 90 characters per line to allow the time-of-day to be included
for each measurement.
QC Chart Reference
One of the ten available calibrations is chosen as the reference for the background and
efficiency QC charts. This allows either a normal system calibration or as a secondary
reference established for a “QC check source” to be used as the reference for the
efficiency QC charts. This feature allows the daily “QC check sources” to be different
than the system calibration sources.
QC Warnings
The QC Warning feature allows the system to apply a simple test to the Daily
Background, Alpha Efficiency, and Beta Efficiency to flag results that should be
reviewed by the supervisor. The QC Warning feature compares the daily measurement
to the QC chart reference parameter. If the daily value exceeds the QC Warning
±
X
sigma limit but is less than the QC Lockout
±
Y sigma limit, then
***** WARNING: Value exceeds ± X sigma limit *****
is printed on the report. The
±
X sigma limit is programmable as X = 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and
an OFF selection disables the feature.
