You must delete those data records (using SETUP
→
Delete Data) or transfer them to
i
Link™ (which deletes data records from
i
Matic automatically) before the calibration
may be modified. Reports and screen displays show results that are calculated “on the
fly” from the raw data and the associated calibration. This requires that the calibration
associated with a procedure must be intact in order to correctly review the results.
The
i
Matic will use the sample changer to completely automate the calibration
procedure. Each step in the calibration definition will prompt the user to enter a carrier
number containing the calibration source for the associated procedure. A special group
plate labeled “CAL” must be inserted in the carrier stack ahead of the carriers
containing the calibration sources. This will trigger the system to search for the
calibration source carriers to execute the calibration procedure. When the system
encounters the “CAL” plate, it will automatically execute all enabled calibration
procedures for all 10 of the system calibrations.
The Define Calibrations menu item is used to define system efficiency and background
calibrations.
To access the Define Calibrations menu:
1.
Press the
Setup
key.
2.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to item “9” in the menu, Define
Calibrations, and then press the
Enter
key.
