Chapter 3 Setup Menu
If desired, the “Supervisor” User Name may be edited by using the up/down arrow
keys or the numeric keypad to edit the letter and the left/right arrow keys to move to the
next or previous letter. This ID may be up to 12 characters and/or numbers. Press
Enter
when finished. The “Enter Passkey” screen allows the Supervisor to enter any
7-character combination of alphanumeric text as a passkey. The Passkey is case
sensitive. Note: It is recommended that, if at all possible, the Supervisor select a
numeric passkey, as this will be the most convenient to enter for system access. This is
the passkey for the Supervisor.
Make a note of the Supervisor passkey and keep it in a
safe place.
Define Procedure
The
i
Matic system counts, analyzes, and reports the results for samples based on
pre-defined procedures. All procedures are entered and modified from the Define
Procedure menu. The system will guide you through the steps to set counting and
analysis parameters, reporting modes and contents that make up a complete procedure.
Procedures are entered from the
Setup
menu, after pressing the
Setup
key on the
front panel. Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to “3 Define Procedure” and
then press the
Enter
key.
The display will show a list of procedures and procedure names. The left-hand letter
indicates the procedure, A through J, and is followed by the default procedure name.
Procedure names can be changed from the default Procedure A, Procedure B,
Procedure C, to descriptive names that have meaning to you. Procedure names can be
up to 22 characters long. The top-level Procedure Setup menu is shown below:
