Eff Cal Parameters
The
β
Eff Cal Parameters menu item allows you to define the
β
efficiency
measurement procedure.
To edit the
β
efficiency measurement procedure:
1.
Press the
Setup
key.
2.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to item “9” in the menu, Define
Calibrations, and then press the
Enter
key.
3.
Using the arrow keys, select the calibration (1 through 10), and then press the
Enter
key.
4.
Using the arrow keys position the cursor “>” to item “4”,

Eff Cal Parameters,
and then press the
Enter
key.
5.
Using the arrow keys position the cursor “>” to item “1”, Count Time, and
then press the
Enter
key.
6.
Enter the b efficiency measurement time in minutes. Default value is
1 minute
.
Press the
Enter
key to accept and automatically advance to the next question
in the
β
Cal Parameters definition.
7.
Enter the number of times the individual
β
efficiency measurement is to be
counted. Default value is
10
. Press the
Enter
key to accept and automatically
advance to the next question in the
β
Cal Parameters definition.
8.
Select the
β
efficiency source. Press the
Enter
key to accept and automatically
advance to the next question in the
β
Cal Parameters definition.
9.
Enter the carrier number of the source to be used to count the
β
efficiency and
automatically advance to the next question in the Define Calibration
Parameters definition.
Auto Cal Sequence Start
This menu allows the first procedure in a calibration to be defined. Typically a
calibration begins with a background, however in the event that only efficiencies need
to be run, that choice may be made here. If the background procedure is the first to be
run, the sample changer will locate the background blank carrier, count the background
and proceed to the efficiency carriers and count them. Selecting “Off” from the Auto
Cal Sequence Start menu for a calibration will leave the calibration procedure
definitions in place, but will not execute them.
