Pressing
Enter
will require a gain calibration be executed before any other
type of count is performed. It will also automatically advance to the next
question. Pressing Cancel to the warning will return to the Detector Parameters
menu.

If you desire to only modify the Sample Det HV, pressing the
Cancel
key will
return to the Detector Parameters Menu.
Sample Det Threshold
The Sample Det Threshold menu item allows you to set the sample detector threshold
from 0 keV to 250 keV; defaults to the last value entered.
Note: Changing the sample detector threshold will invalidate all current system
calibration procedures. This does not impact gain calibration.
To enter a Sample Det Threshold:
1.
Press the
Setup
key.
2.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to item “8” in the menu, Detector
Parameters, and then press the
Enter
key.
3.
Using the arrow keys position the cursor “>” to item “5”, Sample Det
Threshold, and then press the
Enter
key.
4.
Enter the Sample Det Threshold. Note:
125 keV
recommended for operation in
environments of varying temperatures.
5.
Press the Enter key to accept. If the value has been changed, a warning
message will be displayed:
WARNING!
Adjustment will clear all stored calibrations.
Press Enter to continue.
Pressing
Enter
will invalidate all current system calibration procedures. It
will also automatically advance to the next question. Pressing
Cancel
to
the warning will return to the Detector Parameters menu.
6.
If you desire to only modify the Sample Det Threshold, pressing the
Cancel
key will return to the Detector Parameters Menu.
