Data Collection Elements - At the bottom of the Data Import group is the Data Collection Elements button ,
as seen in Figure 4.4.2 B. This button displays a table of the Data Collection Elements that belong to the
MLGPS device, as shown in Figure 4.4.2 C. Data Collection Elements are discrete sets of data belonging to
one reading type. For example, the Battery_Volts Data Collection Element represents all battery voltage
readings for the MLGPS, and will become a battery voltage
Data Element when imported into the database.

The Data Collection Elements window allows users to configure the settings for each Data Collection Element
as follows:
ID
‒ The Data Collection Element type.
Name
‒ The name of the Data Collection Element as it will be imported into the database.
Units
‒ The unit of the Data Collection Element can be selected from the Units drop-down.
DB Import
‒ If import of the MLGPS data into the database is automated, any Data Collection Element with the
DB Import checkbox checked will be imported as a Data Element.
Description
‒ The description of the Data Collection Element.
Note
‒ The station will have Easting, Northing and Elevation Data Collection Elements for each Solution it has
enabled, which will be differentiated in the table with the Instrument Name configured for each Solution in the Setting
tab.
