Install the spindle nut (1) and use the 2P-0083
Locknut Socket to tighten to 420 N•m (310 ft-lb).
Rotate the spindle five revolutions in each direction
and check the torque.
Use a small pick or awl to check each roller of the
outer bearing cone. If any of the rollers are loose
tighten the spindle nut in increments of 50 N•m (37 ft-
lbs) until all rollers are tight.
IMPORTANT: When tightening the spindle nut (1),
NEVER turn the nut counterclockwise to align the
lock channels (2). Tighten the nut in increments of 50
N•m (37 ft-lbs) until the nut aligns.
