7.1.4 Inspection of safety devices
Check the function of the safety edge before commissioning as follows:
1.
Touch the closing edge of a door leaf during the closing process: the closing movement is stopped
and the door immediately opens again.
2.
Also conduct this test with the other door leaf!
If the door is equipped with an external photo eye or a light curtain for monitoring vehicles driving through it
(optional), then the following function test must be performed:
1.
Interrupt the light beam while it is closing.
2.
the closing movement is stopped, and the door immediately opens again.
3.
Now the door system is ready for operation.

System operation

The operator must ensure that no people or objects are in the immediate vicinity of the door during
opening and closing operations.

If the operator of the door system does not have full visibility during operation, the operator must take
appropriate measures to ensure operational safety!

In the standard setting of automatic operation:
Note!
After the closing edge is activated, an error message appears in the display that goes away the next time
the door is attempted to be closed.
Warning!
If the safety edge should not function as described, then the door may not be operated!
Immediately

Note!
The testing of the door's electrical system must take place in accordance with the accident prevention
regulation DGUV Regulation 3
“Electrical systems and operational equipment” Sec. 5 Tests: The company
that is operating the corresponding electrical system or door system has the responsibility for the testing.
They are responsible for both the initial commissioning (initial testing) and for repeat testing due to various
reasons (annual testing, testing after a material change or repair).
