DEALER SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
The rakes are shipped from the factory are virtually completely assembled and requires minimum time to
complete assembly and is ready for sale.
All assembly procedures must be performed on a hard level surface with the wheels
chocked to prevent rolling during assembly. Lift the front of the mainframe assembly and
securely support the mainframe in a level position.
Do not attempt to lower wings until tongue is attached to the mainframe and the tongue is
attached to a tractor.
The hydraulic system is shipped from the factor dry and MUST be filled with hydraulic fluid
before any assembly begins. The hydraulic cylinders which raise and lower the wings are
double acting cylinders and must be charged in both the raised and lowered positions. DO
NOT ATTEMPT TO LOWER THE WINGS UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THE SYSTEM IS
FULLY CHARGED WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID. Always keep all bystanders away while
raising and lowering wings.
CHARGING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
NOTE: To charge the hydraulic system ensure the Transport Lock Pins are secured in the locked position (as
shipped from the factory)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the tractor remotes. Throttle the tractor up to 1/2 throttle and slowly cycle the
hydraulic remotes several ties in both directions to fill the hydraulic system on the rake. After the hydraulic
system is fully charged, remove the transport pin from one side and store the pin as indicated in the illustration
Asm-RK-0212. ENSURE ALL BYSTANDERS ARE CLEAR OF THE WINGS. Cycle the remote to lower one
wing slowly to the ground. Repeat the same procedure to lower the other wing slowly to the ground.
