Making a call
The entries can be selected and a call set up.
Symbol Meaning
Contact with a stored number.
Contact with more than one stored
number.
Call not possible, mobile telephone
without reception or network, Tele‐
service Call or data transfer active.
Contact with a stored phone number: select
desired entry.
Contact with more than one stored phone
number: select desired entry and then phone
number.
The call is made through the mobile telephone
from which the telephone book entry comes.
Telephone book entries stored in the vehicle
are called using the mobile telephone to which
the telephone function is assigned.
The call can be made using the other mobile
telephone:
1. Highlight contact or highlight the desired
telephone number if more than one tele‐
phone number is stored.
2. Calling up"Options".
3. "Call via"
Editing contacts
Changing the entries in the"Contacts" menu. If
a contact is changed, the changes are not
saved on the mobile telephone. A copy of the
entry is saved in the vehicle.
On the Control Display:
1. Highlight the contact.
2. Calling up"Options".
3. "Edit entry"
The contact can be edited.
Redialling
General
List of selected numbers of the mobile tele‐
phone assigned the function telephone or tele‐
phone 2 are transferred to the vehicle. The last
20 numbers dialled are displayed for each mo‐
bile telephone.
Dialling numbers via the instrument
cluster
Possible if no call is currently active.
1. Press key on the steering wheel.
2. Select the desired phone number.
The call is made through the mobile telephone
from the list of which the number comes.
Dialling a number via iDrive
On the Control Display:
1. "Telephone"
2. "Last number redial"
3. Select the desired entry and telephone
number as necessary.
The call is made through the mobile tele‐
phone from the list of which the entry
comes.
The call can be made using the other mobile
telephone:
1. Mark entry.
2. Calling up"Options".
3. "Call via"
